Job Description:
Job Title: Mobile Warden - Part Time
*Job Type: Temporary on-going
*Starting Salary: £15.32 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half
*Hours: 2 x 8-hour day shifts followed by 16-hours on call shift.
*Shifts: Different working days/shifts, on a weekly Rota
(Each 8-hour day worked is followed by a 16-hour standby duty, paid as a fixed amount in addition to the salary - travel expenses and overtime also paid for any out of hours call-outs)
About the Role
The Residential Mobile Warden role provides an essential emergency response to vulnerable residents in the community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You’ll be part of a small, passionate team delivering a vital service to sheltered housing and community alarm clients across Welwyn & Hatfield.
To apply for this vacancy, you must hold a full UK Driving license and have access to a car.
The Role:
*Act as the first point of response in emergencies
*Contact relevant services and family members as needed.
*Maintain records
*Promote independence, security, privacy, and wellbeing for all residents.
*Prioritise workload and make clear decisions, sometimes under challenging circumstances.
About You
*Can drive and has access to a car
*Calm, empathetic, and proactive in challenging situations.
*Able to communicate clearly and confidently with members of the public.
*Organised and capable of making decisions under pressure.
Essential Requirements:
*Current driving licence and access to a car.
*Ability to converse at ease in accurate spoken English.
*Willing to undertake a DBS check
