The Accounts Payable Assistant will have...
*Managed end-to-end invoice and payment processing
*Oversaw supplier onboarding, account monitoring, and multi-currency payment runs
*Performed daily bank reconciliations and posted entries into SunSystems
*Integrated Salmon (Treasury System) transactions into SunSystems
*Recorded FX deals, deposits, and intercompany transfers
*Supported cross-training and collaboration within the AP team
*Completed weekly balance sheet reconciliations and VAT checks
*Generated receivable invoices, issued debtor statements, and chased overdue balances
*Ensured timely month-end close
*Assisted wider teams with queries via central mailbox and in person
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
*An AAT qualification or be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
*Strong experience using Concur
*A solid understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
*Proven experience in an international AP function
*Confidence managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
*Experience with multi-currency processes
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure
