Job Description:
The Company
Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Polisher.
The Role
*Will be working permanent day shift Monday-Thursday.
*Interpret engineering drawings.
*Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror.
*Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components.
*Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes.
*Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts.
*In process and finished goods inspection.
*Process auditing.
*Signing first and last inspection reports.
*Reporting of non-conforming parts.
*Ensure zero defects reach end user.
*Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package.
The Person
*Must have previous polishing experience in an engineering company.
*If not, you will have previous manual machining experience or plasma cutting experience.
*Experience of building special purpose equipment.
*Experience in engineering.
*Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.
*Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
