We are working with a Unitary Council who are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Lawyer on a 3 month temporary contract.
This is a fully remote role and due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £55.00 via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role in the sector and will ideally be a qualified lawyer.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Managing a range of SEN cases, including tribunal appeals, and communicating with parents, professionals
*Assisting with the activities of the team to include performance, caseloads and productivity, motivation and development, recruitment and selection and appraisal
*Demonstrating awareness and understanding of equal opportunities, other people’s behaviour and their physical, social and welfare needs
*Ensuring the effective identification and management of risks associated with the relevant areas of legal practice
*Providing legal advice and services to client organisations in litigation matters, predominately around Special Educational Needs and education matters


Experience required:
*Experience required in Special Educational Needs
*Experience working with children, parents and schools
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
*Qualified Lawyer
