Contract: Maternity Cover (starting January 2026)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Desian Education are proud to be supporting a vibrant inner-city community primary school in Liverpool, seeking a strong and experienced Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from January 2026 to cover a Maternity Contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Reception Teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in a deprived area, where every day presents both challenges and rewards. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and supportive team, providing children with a safe, stimulating, and nurturing start to their learning journey.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience teaching in Early Years, ideally within inner-city or high-deprivation contexts
Strong EAL (English as an Additional Language) support experience, with the ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse language needs
Confident SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) practice, ensuring inclusive learning for all pupils
A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach, with excellent classroom management skills
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with EYFS frameworks
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant Early Years experience
