Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Design & BIM Technician to join their team and play a key role in bringing exceptional projects to life. You will support projects from initial survey through to site delivery.
Your Role:
Survey & Planning
*Carry out measured building and site surveys, translating information into accurate BIM models.
*Prepare planning drawings and support planning application submissions.
Design & Technical
*Develop and maintain BIM models throughout concept, planning, technical design and delivery stages.
*Produce drawings, schedules and visualisations to support client decision-making.
*Generate quantities and material take-offs directly from BIM.
*Specify products and materials aligned with the design ethos and project requirements.
Project Delivery
*Assist in procurement of sub-contract packages, preparing enquiries and assessing returns.
*Compile and issue clear, practical site information packs for construction teams.
*Provide technical support during the build to ensure design intent is met.
Collaboration & Client Care
*Work closely with in-house designers, construction teams, consultants, and suppliers.
*Liaise directly with clients, presenting drawings and technical information clearly.
*Contribute to design reviews and help resolve queries efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
*Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
*Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning policy and construction detailing.
*Experience preparing planning submissions, technical drawings and tender packages.
*Ability to extract accurate quantities and schedules from BIM.
*Strong communication skills with clients and office/site teams.
*An organised, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
