Location: Worcestershire (Hybrid flexibility after qualifying period)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Uncapped Commission

Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. This is a consultative, solution-focused role – not product sales – created to develop new business within two key sectors as part of the company’s strategic growth plan.


The Role


As the Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on new account acquisition and customer retention, positioning their services and solutions to new clients. You’ll be responsible for achieving monthly sales targets and contributing to the overall revenue growth of the division.


Key duties will include:


Identifying and developing new business opportunities within target sectors.
Building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Positioning their services and solutions effectively to prospects and clients via a consultative approach.
Meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets and KPIs as set by the Divisional Director.
Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
Understanding client objectives, challenges, and future plans to tailor solutions accordingly.
Producing accurate quotes and proposals, demonstrating appropriate use of pricing and discount models.
Collaborating with the marketing team to maximise communication channels and campaign effectiveness.
Maintaining accurate records and dialogue reports within the CRM system and other sales platforms.
Completing documentation and reports to update internal stakeholders and departments.
Planning and managing time effectively to ensure the best return on investment.
Following company policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Preparing and delivering a robust business plan to support ongoing growth.
Taking part in training and coaching sessions and applying new knowledge to enhance performance.
About You
Proven background in B2B business development or sales, ideally within professional or consultancy services.
A consultative, solution-driven approach – able to understand client needs and tailor offerings accordingly.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Highly organised with strong time management and planning abilities.
Confident working with CRM systems and producing accurate sales documentation.
Self-motivated, ambitious, and target-focused with a passion for delivering results.
A team player who can also thrive working independently.
