If you’re graduating soon and want to gain experience in primary schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside, or Northumberland, we have roles available from January 2026.
We support local primary settings with mainstream and SEND placements. You can take on short term work or longer placements, and we can plan this around your availability. Day-to-day roles help you build confidence across different schools, while steady bookings allow you to settle into a familiar routine.
Staffing needs change throughout the year, so some placements may extend or finish earlier depending on what each school requires.
You will need a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one. We will also need an academic reference as part of the registration process.
These opportunities suit graduates who want practical experience working with pupils in a variety of classrooms. Psychology and related degrees are welcome, and anyone interested in supporting education settings is encouraged to get in touch.
