A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join an established leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical equipment.
Job Description:
*You will operate welding machines to fuse metal segments together using MIG or other processes
*Measuring, cutting, clamping, grinding, drilling, or tacking metal pieces before welding
*You will be required to fabricate parts following mechanical drawings.
*You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
*You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers’ requirements.
*You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order.
*Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdowns.
*You may be required to visit customer sites throughout the UK.
*Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related the role.
*Quality inspection of colleague’s output.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
*Fabrication/welding- MIG, MMA/Stick Welding, Stud Welding and Plasma Cutting-
*Preferable have experience using the Armada Press Brake
*Hands-on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment
*The ability to understand mechanical drawings
*Overhead crane/lifting slinging experience
*FLT Counterbalance
*Have good written and verbal communication skills
*Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel
*Experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
*Strong attention to detail
*Good communication skills
