Position Summary:
As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the setup, commissioning, and support of production test rigs for Engine Control systems. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including test rig design, software development, fault diagnostics, and equipment validation through advanced data analysis techniques.
Summary:
*Start date: ASAP
*Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
*Location: Marston Green, Birmingham
*Pay Rate: Negotiable
*Hours: 37 per week - Monday to Friday either 7-3 or 8-4
Key Responsibilities:
*Collaborate with the Asset Care team to ensure test equipment is available, compliant, and calibrated.
*Develop, modify, and validate innovative test rigs.
*Maintain and enhance various software standards (e.g., NI TestStand, LabView, LabWindows, C, C#).
*Diagnose issues and test failures related to test software/hardware, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
*Produce technical reports capturing data analysis and justifications for approval.
Requirements:
*Relevant engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
*Proven experience in test engineering and programming, with a strong background in electronics
*A methodical approach with the ability to document and present findings effectively to stakeholders.
*Excellent teamwork skills, combined with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
*Strong written, reporting, and communication skills.
*Awareness of HS&E regulations related to Test Equipment
