Subject Lead – Business Studies (TLR) | January 2026 Start
An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Berkshire is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Studies Teacher to take on the role of Subject Lead from January 2026. This is a permanent opportunity with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) available for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic chance to lead a popular and growing subject area, shaping curriculum delivery and inspiring students to explore the world of enterprise, finance, and economics.
They are looking for someone who:
*Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong track record of delivering Business Studies at KS4 and ideally KS5.
*Has the vision and leadership skills to drive forward the development of the Business Studies curriculum.
*Can lead by example, supporting colleagues and modelling outstanding teaching and learning.
*Is passionate about preparing students for the modern business world and equipping them with real-world skills.
*Has excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
*Is committed to raising achievement and fostering a culture of high expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the Business Studies department, overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and teaching standards.
*Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students and promote academic success.
*Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement and engagement.
*Support and mentor other teachers within the department.
*Contribute to whole-school initiatives and leadership development.
