Assembly Technician
*Annual Salary: £18.53 per hour (£33k per annum)
*Location: Crawley, West Sussex
*Job Type: Full-time
Are you a multi-skilled Assembly Technician looking to join a dynamic team in a growing business? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team player to join a local business which will provide training and progression. The ideal candidate will have experience in the assembly of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for assembling components and products from manufacturing drawings, using both hand and power tools and ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and specifications.
Day-to-day duties of the role:
*Assemble components and products according to specifications, drawings and instructions.
*Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
*Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
*Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
*Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
*Follow health and safety regulations while operating machinery and tools.
*Additional tasks may be required to assist with team activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly or manufacturing.
*Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
*Strong experience of safe lifting and manual handling.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all tasks.
Benefits:
*Full training provided.
*Online and classroom training – fully accredited.
*Structured working hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 16:30pm with a half-hour lunch; Friday 07:30 to 11:00am. There is also the option to work additional hours during the week and have Friday off.
