Are you a reliable and capable kitchen assistant looking to make a real difference in a school setting?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a supportive SEN school for a Kitchen Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a meaningful role, supporting young people in a nurturing educational environment.
Hours: 9:30am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12 - £13 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
*Support daily kitchen operations and food preparation
*Follow health & safety and hygiene standards
*Serve meals to children and staff with a friendly, approachable manner
*Take instruction from the kitchen lead while also showing initiative
*Engage positively with students
About You:
*Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is essential
*Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
*Calm, personable, and confident when interacting with children
*Reliable, punctual, and professional
*Understanding or experience of working with young people with additional needs is a plus - but not essential
