Health & Safety Manager - High-Growth Environment
South West | Up to £45,000
Are you a seasoned Health & Safety Manager or a Senior H&S professional looking to step up? This rapidly growing business is seeking a proactive, people-focused Health & Safety specialist to help shape the future of safety across its expanding operations.
This is a hands-on, operationally driven role where you’ll spend time on site, working closely with Operational Managers, Field Managers and Install Teams to embed best practice and drive a positive safety culture in a fast-paced environment. H&S Manager Key Responsibilities
*Conduct regular site visits 1-2 days per week, inspections, audits and investigations, ensuring risks are identified, communicated and controlled effectively.
*Coach and support Operational Managers, Field Managers and Installers to raise safety standards across all teams.
*Lead incident investigations, implementing corrective actions that drive continuous improvement.
*Own and enhance all aspects of Health, Safety & Wellbeing across office, warehouse and field operations.
*Deliver engaging H&S training, toolbox talks, inductions and refresher sessions to staff and contractors.
*Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, client H&S teams and external auditors.
*Develop, review and maintain policies, RAMS, procedures and safe systems of work.
*Provide expert advice on UK H&S legislation and best practice, influencing teams at all levels.
*Champion a positive safety culture, promoting safe behaviours and embedding compliance throughout a growing business.
About You
*A passionate Health & Safety professional seeking progression and broader responsibility.
*Background in construction, building services, retrofit, renewables or a similar operational environment.
*A confident communicator able to challenge, influence and support managers and field-based teams.
*Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation, risk management and practical safety controls.
*Organised, self-driven and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organisation.
*NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards it) preferred; NEBOSH General Certificate essential.
