Job Description:
Grafton Banks Finance are working with an SME commercial services company with offices in Brighton, East Sussex to recruit a Part Time Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance and working within a small friendly team you will be responsible for supporting the finance team by providing essential financial assistance to ensure the accounting functions are run smoothly on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
*Managing client accounts
*Responsible for the management of the Accounts Payable function
*Maintaining spreadsheets and reports
*Preparing payment run and setting up supplier payments, sending out remittances
*Processing, querying, and tracking staff expenses and setting up payments
*Sale Ledger:
*Raising invoices against client related costs
*Creating new clients on the system and updating client details
*Credit control
*Processing and reconciling company credit cards
*Daily/monthly bank reconciliations
*Processing month-end journals, Prepayments, salaries
*Processing Intercompany transactions
*Assisting with general administrative duties
The successful candidate will have practical experience of working within a finance role. Excellent communication skills both verbale and written and have strong IT skills including Excel. This role is working 20 hours spread across at least 4 days within Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm This role is working remote. 1 day a month in the office. Salary guide £30,000 - £35,000 pro rota into the hours worked.
