Job Description:
Personal Assistant to the CEO
*Annual Salary: £23,127
*Location: Plymouth, PL6
*Job Type: Permanent, Part-time (30 hours per week, term time plus two weeks)
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to provide high-quality executive support to the Chief Executive Officer a Multi-Academy Trust. This pivotal role ensures the efficient and professional operation of the CEO’s office and supports effective governance and staff development across the Trust.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the CEO’s complex diary, correspondence, and meeting schedules.
*Prepare reports, briefing papers, and ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings.
*Clerk for the Trust Board and its committees, including preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and following up on actions.
*Serve as the Trust’s Staff Development Coordinator, supporting the planning, organisation, and monitoring of professional development activities.
*Maintain training records and coordinate Trust-wide CPD programmes.
*Assist with the implementation of staff development initiatives aligned to strategic priorities.
*Act as a key liaison between the CEO, senior leaders, academy staff, and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
*Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or multi-site environment.
*Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Proficient in managing complex diaries and coordinating high-level meetings.
*Experience in clerking and understanding of governance in educational settings.
*Ability to work confidently with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
*Proactive problem-solving skills.
