Description
*Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accurate financial management.
*Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary.
*Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across multiple business units.
*Monitor and report on capital expenditure, ensuring compliance with approval processes.
*Partner with stakeholders across departments to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
*Lead on month-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal postings.
*Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
*Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and support integration following acquisitions or structural changes.
*Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
*Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with relevant regulations.
*Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
*Assist in the preparation of audit files and liaise with auditors as required.
*Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
*Provide guidance and support to junior team members in the accounting & finance department.
Profile
The successful Management Accountant should have:
*Part Qualification in ACCA or CIMA
*Solid experience in either assisting, or producing Monthly Management Accounts
*Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
