Job Description:
Teaching Assistant Level 2
*Hourly Rate: £14.63
*Location: Lancaster
*Job Type: Part-time (Thursdays and Fridays, 08:45 - 15:30)
*Start Date: January 8th until Summer
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team, working with infants up to Year 2. This role is ideal for someone passionate about contributing to the educational and personal development of young children.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities for infants up to Year 2.
*Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities.
*Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
*Work closely with the teacher to monitor the progress of students.
*Assist children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom.
*Engage with children during welfare and break times to ensure their safety and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
*Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, particularly with early years or primary school children.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A patient, caring, and creative approach to working with children.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willing to undergo this process).
