Senior Accountant / Accounts Senior – Practice-Based Role
Location: Wolverhampton
Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based (will need to travel to other office in Telford 2 days per week)
Salary: Circa £40,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (35-hour week, 1-hour lunch)
Flexibility: Fixed hours currently, with plans to introduce flexible working from February
About the Firm
This well-established accountancy practice recently underwent an acquisition and is currently in a transition phase. The firm operates across multiple sites and is in the process of integrating systems and teams. While the practices are still trading individually, there is a strong focus on collaboration and positive change.

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounts Senior to join a close-knit team. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and preparing accounts, supporting client meetings, and contributing to the firm’s ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities:
*Review accounts prepared by junior staff
*Prepare accounts for a range of clients
*Handle general tax matters including corporation and personal tax
*Support client meetings and communications
*Assist in implementing changes across the practice
Ideal Candidate Profile
*ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accountancy practice
*Strong experience in reviewing and preparing accounts
*Solid understanding of corporation and personal tax
*Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment
