Job Description:
SF Recruitment are working with a manufacturing business, looking for a Material Planner to take responsibility for day-to-day planning and material control across two busy manufacturing sites in Coventry. You’ll be part of a small, supportive planning team, making sure production has the right materials at the right time and that stock levels are kept under control. Experience using Sage 200 would be a real bonus.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*Planning and coordinating material requirements for both sites.
*Keeping production plans up to date and making sure materials are lined up to meet demand.
*Tracking stock levels, reviewing usage, and adjusting orders to avoid shortages or overstock.
*Keeping planning data accurate, including lead times, BoMs and stock information.
*Working closely with production, purchasing and warehouse teams to keep things moving smoothly.
*Speaking with suppliers about deliveries, chasing orders when needed, and sorting out any issues that could impact production.
*Supporting routine stock checks and helping improve planning processes where possible.
*Highlighting any risks to the plan and working with the team to keep output on track.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience in material planning, production planning or a related supply chain role.
*Comfortable working with MRP/ERP systems (Sage 200 experience is ideal but not essential).
*Confident with numbers and able to pick up trends from data.
*Strong communicator, able to work well with internal teams and suppliers.
*Organised, reliable, and able to manage a varied workload across two sites.
*Someone who’s happy working as part of a team and getting involved where needed.
