Financial Controller – Hospitality Sector

A well-established hospitality business located in a picturesque coastal town is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its senior management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial operations of a thriving hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare detailed financial reports including revenue forecasts, cost analysis, P&L accounts, and budget packs
*Oversee billing accuracy and cash control procedures
*Reconcile monthly balance sheets and post account adjustments
*Manage VAT submissions and year-end accounts using Sage 200
*Monitor daily revenue and generate management reports via Micros/Opera
*Review payroll costs and departmental spending
*Supervise petty cash and financial postings
*Lead and develop the hotel’s finance team
Ideal Candidate Profile
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance position within the hospitality sector
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (Sage 200, Opera, Microsoft, Fourth Hospitality, Eproductive)
*Excellent analytical and communication skills
*Proven ability to work within structured procedures and deadlines
