We are seeking an enthusiastic Purchase Ledger Clerk to work alongside three other clerks under the guidance of a Purchase Ledger Supervisor. The finance department currently consists of 13 team members, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to become a valued contributor in a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the determination to thrive in a fast-paced purchase ledger and cash cycle setting. This is a hands-on role where you can make a real impact within a successful and growing organization. While experience with specific accounting systems is not essential, strong Excel skills and an adaptable, IT-focused mindset are key.
Key Responsibilities
*Reconcile approximately 300 supplier accounts.
*Liaise with branches nationwide to ensure accurate documentation.
*Process timely supplier payments to maintain smooth operations.
*Manage payment runs across banking and internal systems.
*Set up new supplier accounts and maintain accurate records.
*Update and manage relevant spreadsheets.
*Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.
*Work with multi-currency purchase ledgers.
*Collaborate with the wider accounts team to ensure efficient departmental operations.
*Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
