Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a small accountancy practice based in Kidlington. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional team that supports a diverse portfolio of local businesses and individuals.
The Role You will be responsible for:
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
* Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
* Performing bank reconciliations and control account checks
* Preparing VAT returns and assisting with payroll tasks
* Supporting accountants with accounts preparation and compliance work
About You
* Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within practice or a busy finance environment
* Confident using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
* Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and payroll principles
* Organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple client deadlines
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
