Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Location: Remote (with ability to attend Civic Offices in Reading or court when required)
Contract: Full-time, Locum

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our team immediately.
About the Role
In light of the recent judgment in the Mazur case, the successful candidate must be:
*A Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX with litigation accreditation
*Holder of a current practising certificate
You will act on behalf of three local authorities who instruct the Joint Legal Team, providing expert legal advice and representation in adult social care matters.
Key Responsibilities
*Advising and representing on adult social care legislation, including:

*Deprivation of Liberty
*Ordinary Residence
*Welfare Cases
*Deputyship
*Age Assessment Cases
*Judicial Review

*Attending court hearings and Civic Offices in Reading when required
Requirements
*Excellent working knowledge of adult social care law
*Strong advocacy and litigation skills
*Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
