1:1 Teaching Assistant
*Hourly Rate: £14.63 - £16.35
*Location: Fylde area
*Job Type: Temporary (January 5th start until summer)
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact in children’s educational journeys, starting from January 5th until the summer.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with ASD, focusing on both academic and social development.
*Implement strategies to support the child’s individual learning and emotional needs.
*Work closely with the classroom teacher to integrate educational plans and ensure a cohesive approach.
*Assist the child with classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
*Monitor the child’s progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
*Create a supportive and understanding environment to help the child thrive.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
*Understanding of the challenges faced by children with ASD and how to effectively support them.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
