My clients who are a leading defence company is recruiting for a International Trade Compliance Manager to join on a permanent basis in Maidenhead (hybrid working arrangements 2 days in the office per week).
Role - International Trade Compliance Manager
Location - Maidenhead, hybrid working (2 days onsite per week)
Type - Permanent
Salary - £60,000-£80,000 + bonus + benefits
Key responsibilities of the International Trade Compliance Manager role will include not be limited to:
*Acts as the organisation’s SME for Military List and dual-use export controls, providing guidance on classification, licensing and compliance across UK and US regulatory frameworks.
*Strong expertise in OGEL, OIEL, SIEL, ITAR and EAR requirements, with hands-on experience managing applications, submissions and annual reporting.
*Well-versed in F680 approvals, Exhibition Clearances, Crown Exemptions and ECJU processes, including extensive use of SPIRE/LITE for licence and F680 management.
*Designs and oversees export control frameworks ensuring full adherence to UK and US export regulations across complex defence programmes.
*Advises engineering, project and business teams on classification of Military List and dual-use items, and on compliance for both tangible and intangible exports.
*Delivers training to the organisation on international trade compliance and provides guidance on commercial trade areas such as Letters of Credit, INCOTERMS and ATA Carnets.
*Experienced in managing export-controlled overseas travel and maintaining full compliance with all relevant export control and security requirements.
Key skills and experience required for International Trade Compliance Manager and not limited to:
*Proven experience within a Trade and/or Export Compliance role
*Defence sector experience is essential
*A strong understanding and working knowledge of both UK & US export regulations including ITAR/EAR
*Eligibility to gain UK Security Clearance (SC Level)
