Part-Time Reception Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: Liverpool (Inner-City Community Primary School)
Contract: Part-Time, Maternity Cover, Flexible Days (Starting January 2026)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Desian Education are delighted to be supporting a vibrant and community-focused primary school in Liverpool, seeking an experienced Part-Time Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from January 2026 on a maternity cover basis.
This role is ideal for a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher who is passionate about providing an excellent start to children’s education. The school offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, with a committed staff team and strong focus on nurturing, engaging learning experiences.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*Proven experience working within Early Years, ideally within diverse or inner-city settings
*Strong experience supporting pupils with EAL (English as an Additional Language), adapting teaching to meet a range of language needs
*Confident SEND practice, supporting inclusive learning for all children
*A calm, positive, and resilient approach with strong classroom management
*The ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons in line with EYFS frameworks
*QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant Early Years experience
