Overview
A leading organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to support the delivery of accurate, high-quality management accounts within a fast-paced divisional finance team. You will maintain strong financial controls, ensure the integrity of reporting, and contribute to ongoing process improvements. The role sits within a team of five and reports into senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate divisional accounts and post relevant journals aligned to true financial performance.
* Complete timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
* Provide financial support and insight to senior finance stakeholders and business partners.
* Contribute to the delivery of agreed service levels and KPIs for internal and external customers.
* Recommend and implement improvements to enhance automation, standardisation, and efficiency.
* Apply accounting policies consistently to ensure technically robust management accounts.
* Support the Finance Manager with team development and stakeholder engagement.
* Present management accounts to senior finance leaders within agreed deadlines.
Decision-Making & Challenges
* Identifying and driving process improvements across finance operations.
* Managing competing deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
* Ensuring accuracy and quality in all financial outputs.
Key Stakeholders
Senior Finance Leadership, FP&A, Shared Services, Finance Business Partners, Divisional Finance Directors, Budget Holders, Finance Managers.
Skills & Experience
* (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Strong experience within a general ledger function at a similar level.
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Advanced Excel and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
* Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive under tight deadlines.
