Location: Rickmansworth
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 + monthly bonus (can be over £1000 some months)
Procurement Specialist
Our client are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to their growing young team. In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of established clients—strengthening existing relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and ensuring they receive exceptional service. You’ll gather key information, prepare competitive quotations with accurate margin management, and negotiate confidently with suppliers to secure the best possible value.
A major part of the role involves sourcing high-quality goods, identifying and onboarding new suppliers, and obtaining freight quotes to determine the most efficient and cost-effective delivery methods. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the team to meet shared targets, resolve client or supplier queries, and support ongoing improvement across the procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and grow relationships with existing clients
*Identify opportunities within current accounts to expand business
*Source products and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers
*Set and maintain accurate margins on quoted items
*Research and set up new supplier partnerships
*Obtain freight quotes and determine optimal shipping methods
*Work collaboratively within a supportive, fast-paced team
*Handle day-to-day queries with professionalism and efficiency
*Manage and prioritise your client portfolio effectively
*Work towards and achieve agreed performance targets

We’re looking for someone with 12+ months of experience in an office environment or in a similar procurement, purchasing, admin, or customer-focused role. You’ll be a true team player—collaborative, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to stay organised, focused, and proactive throughout the working day. We need someone who is switched on, confident communicating with clients and suppliers, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
