Temporary Accounts Assistant
Location: Ashford, Kent (Manufacturing Environment)
Assignment Type: Temporary (approx. 3 months, with possible extension)
Pay Rate: £12.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Purpose:
To provide essential finance support within a busy manufacturing company, ensuring accurate processing of transactions and assisting with month-end reporting during a peak period.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process purchase invoices and match them to goods received notes (GRNs).
*Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
*Support bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
*Handle petty cash and employee expense claims.
*Assist with stock-related financial entries and cost allocations.
*Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit purposes.
*Respond promptly to internal queries from production and procurement teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Previous experience in an accounts role within a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
*Knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, or ERP systems).
*Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
*Good Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP desirable).
*Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments.
Qualifications:
*AAT Level 2 or equivalent experience preferred.
Working Hours:
*Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility may be considered).
