Salary: up to £100,000
Are you a hands-on AI Lead passionate about Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud deployments?
Do you enjoy designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions that solve real business problems?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic AI team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in Insurtech and Fintech. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI applications, fine-tune LLMs, and integrate AI capabilities across platforms.
About the Role * Lead the design, implementation, and fine-tuning of LLMs and generative AI solutions (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, open-source models).
* Build and optimize RAG pipelines, vector databases, and prompt engineering strategies.
* Develop AI-powered applications integrating LLMs with APIs, agents, and workflows.
* Deploy and monitor AI models on cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
* Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and best practices.
* Translate business requirements into AI solutions and ensure responsible AI practices and high-quality outputs.
Skills & Experience * 6+ years of Python development with hands-on experience in Generative AI
* Strong experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS)
* Proven team leadership and mentoring skills; managing 3-5 engineers
* Cloud deployment experience with Docker/Kubernetes
* Deep understanding of transformer architectures, AI/ML principles, and MLOps
* Experience developing REST APIs and Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, Crew AI)
Desirable * Experience in Insurtech or Fintech domains
* Knowledge of insurance workflows or policy administration systems
* Team leadership and client-facing experience
