Job Description:
Assistant Centre Manager – Birmingham
£32,000 + benefits
If you know the flexible workspace world, you already understand the rhythm: clients arriving with fast-moving needs, a centre that feels like its own small ecosystem, and a team that keeps everything humming.
I’m recruiting for an Assistant Centre Manager to join a high-performing Birmingham workspace—one that prides itself on hospitality-grade service, sharp operations, and a genuinely supportive culture. This is an opportunity for someone currently in another office provider who’s ready for a step up, a fresh challenge, or simply a place where their standards won’t feel "too high."
Why this role matters
You’ll be the Centre Manager’s right hand and the steady heartbeat of the building:
Keeping clients delighted,
Keeping operations smooth,
Keeping the space looking and running like it’s always ready for a viewing.
This isn’t a back-office role. You’ll be on the floor, in the mix, and trusted with decisions. When the Centre Manager is away, you take the helm.
What you’ll be doing
*Overseeing day-to-day centre operations
*Supporting and covering the Centre Manager
*Managing billing and logging charges (Yardi experience welcome but not essential)
*Coordinating meeting rooms and catering
*Handling client requests quickly and professionally
*Managing mail, keys, access cards, inventories and office setups
*Running viewings to a polished commercial standard
*Keeping all client-facing spaces immaculate
*Providing reception cover
*Carrying out essential admin for clients: document prep, data entry, reports, archiving, and more
*Logging maintenance requests and supporting project work
Who we’re looking for Someone who feels at home in a client-driven, people-first workspace environment. You’ll need:
*3+ years in a customer-facing role
*Strong communication skills—phone, email, in-person
*Confidence with Word and Outlook
*The ability to work independently in a small team
*Front-of-house experience (advantageous)
*Flexibility to work occasional irregular hours and support other sites when needed
If you can keep multiple plates turning without dropping your smile, this is your stage.
Perks & benefits *£32,000 salary
*20 days holiday + bank holidays (plus a day off for your birthday)
*Ability to buy/sell holiday
*Healthcare, dental, life assurance & eye care
*Pension
*Season ticket loan
*Cycle to work scheme
*Service-related rewards
*Supportive training and continuous development
*A first-year lunch voucher to welcome you aboard
