Job Description:
British Sign Language Teaching Assistant
am currently working with a School in SE3 that require a BSL TA to work within their deaf support SEN unit, the role will begin in January full-time.
· Mixed Secondary School
· Location: Blackheath SE3
· Hours: 8.30am to 4pm Mon- Fri
· Salary: Dependant on experience
· Must have BSL Level 2
Key Criteria
BSL Teaching Assistant
· Maintain the classroom and equipment in a safe and tidy condition.
· Contribute to record-keeping by recording observations of pupils during the school day.
· Communicate their knowledge and understanding of students to other school staff
· Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours consistent with the role and in line with the expectations
· Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
· Provide teaching and learning support including the use of appropriate technical resources
· Supporting and teaching students with SEN and additional needs
· Work with other SEN Teaching Assistants in groups with students
