Responsibilities:
*Perform thorough control checks, reconciliations, and validations across high-volume finance operations data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
*Monitor key operational finance metrics and KPIs, proactively highlighting exceptions or anomalies that require attention from the wider team.
*Deliver robust data analysis to support finance-led projects and track improvements in operational efficiency throughout the year.
*Work closely with the Finance Operations Lead to maintain strong financial controls across both people and processes within the department.
*Assist with service charge financial reporting by ensuring all control procedures are followed meticulously and documentation is maintained.
*Support year-end close activities specific to Finance Operations, including extracting relevant data, performing reconciliations, and providing audit support as required.
*Maintain clear, auditable documentation of all financial processes and data outputs to facilitate transparency and accountability.
*Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across finance, IT, and operations teams to enhance reporting frameworks and strengthen internal controls.
The Ideal Candidate:
*Demonstrated experience working with high-volume transactional data in a finance operations or accounting environment over at least four years.
*Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel coupled with familiarity using finance or ERP systems; willingness to complete an Excel test during interview stage.
*Comprehensive understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, audit standards, and best practices within a corporate setting.
*Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both finance professionals and non-finance stakeholders alike.
*Methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail; highly organised in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
*AAT qualified & part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Finalist (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development.
*Experience supporting year-end close activities including data extraction, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
*Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams such as IT and operations to improve reporting frameworks.
*Experience in property-related finance is desirable but not essential.
