Job Description:
Accounts Payable Manager
*Job Type: Interim
*Location: Northampton
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Accounts Payable function during a period of exceptional growth. This role involves ensuring accurate recording of expenses, timely payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers. You will lead a team of 4 AP Executives, fostering a culture of curiosity, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the AP team to ensure all supplier invoices and staff expenses are processed accurately and promptly.
*Collaborate with the Operations and Category Management teams to resolve discrepancies and drive process improvements.
*Support the Treasury team in managing weekly payment runs and cash flow forecasting.
*Champion internal control around supplier management and staff expenses, ensuring accounts are reconciled regularly in line with internal audit standards.
*Address any actions required by Internal Audit in a timely manner.
*Build strong working relationships with peers in the EME finance team, balancing the interests of the UK business with global finance requirements.
*Uphold and promote our core values within the finance team and across the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable function.
*Strong background in process improvement and people management.
*Ability to challenge and influence peers across the business.
*Experience with SAP and intermediate Excel skills are highly desirable.
*Dynamic, independent, and creative with excellent strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
