Job Title: IHCD Technician / Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP)
Location: The O2, London
Shift Pattern: Shifts available: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 13:00 – 01:00
Role Overview:
We are seeking qualified IHCD Technicians or Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAP) to provide high-quality pre-hospital care and patient transport services at The O2 entertainment venue. This role involves working in a dynamic environment, responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during large-scale events.
Key Responsibilities:
*Act as the lead clinician in the absence of a Paramedic.
*Provide immediate and effective care for patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
*Safely operate event medical cover.
*Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and deliver life-saving interventions when required.
*Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical governance standards.
*Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety protocols.
*Liaise with event staff, emergency services, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Essential Requirements:
*AAP: Level 4 Diploma in Associate Ambulance Practice (or equivalent).
*IHCD Technician: IHCD (Edexcel) Award (BTEC Level 3) or equivalent.
*Training in patient handling and associated equipment.
*Evidence of current or recent employment in an NHS Ambulance Service, MOD, or private provider OR proof of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
