Job Description:
Commercial Finance Manager (Permanent)
Location: West Yorkshire (easily commutable from Leeds, Manchester and surrounding areas)
Industry: Retail / Supply Chain / manufacturing
A major UK organisation within the retail and distribution sector is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in driving performance, change, and growth within its logistics division. This is a high-profile position reporting into the Head of Finance and offers excellent exposure across a large, complex business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
*Act as a trusted partner to senior logistics leadership and third-party logistics providers.
*Provide challenge, insight and strategic support to drive operational and financial performance.
Financial Reporting & Control
*Lead accurate financial reporting, including weekly performance reporting, KPIs, budgets and forecasts.
*Maintain robust financial controls across the division.
Strategic Insight & Improvement
*Deliver high-quality analysis to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and influence decision-making.
*Support and lead transformational projects within a fast-moving environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
*Partner effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders across operational and central teams.
Budget Management
*Own and manage the divisional budget, forecast and outturn, ensuring financial targets are met.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced, proactive finance professional with a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent). You will have:
*A strong track record of adding value to a large, complex organisation from a commercial finanace perspective
*Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels
*Strong organisational skills, managing multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
*An inquisitive mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
*Experience or understanding of supply chain, logistics or distribution (highly beneficial).
