Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant
Location: Taunton
Overview
A Top 100 law firm in Taunton is seeking a junior Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join its supportive and friendly Residential Property team. This opportunity is perfect for someone with early-stage conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their skills and grow within a reputable firm.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide administrative and transactional support to fee earners within the residential conveyancing team
*Assist with preparing contract packs, search requests, standard correspondence, and completion documentation
*Manage client onboarding, including ID checks and AML procedures
*Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring the highest level of client care
*Keep case files updated and assist in maintaining compliance and file management
*Support with post-completion processes such as SDLT forms and Land Registry applications (training provided)
*Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other parties as required
About You
*Some experience within a conveyancing or wider legal support role is preferred
*Keen interest in residential property work and a desire to learn
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*Confident communicator with a proactive, positive approach
*Ability to manage tasks efficiently and work well within a team
*Familiarity with case management systems is beneficial but not essential
