Technical Sales Manager
*Location: Office Chessington – Field based
*Job Type: Full-time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Technical Sales Managers to join a business experiencing significant growth. One role will be based in the office with ad hoc travel to client sites and the other will be a field based role. This role will be specifically focusing on the South East of the UK.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role:
*Develop and implement a sales strategy for the South to increase market share.
*Identify and develop relationships with existing and new customers, reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
*Manage the sales process to deal stage, securing projects in line with strategy, sales targets, and KPIs.
*Understand and promote the company’s vision, strategy, and value proposition to customers and industry stakeholders.
*Represent the business at customer meetings and industry networking events.
*Present our product range to new and existing customers, keeping our products at the forefront of our customers’ minds.
*Assist with bid submissions and documentation for new contract opportunities, liaising with internal teams including sales support, marketing, design, and engineering teams.
*Manage and report on sales performance to the Chief Sales Officer and in sales meetings.
*Build a high level of knowledge across the product range, providing great technical advice and solutions to customers.
*Keep up to date with industry trends and potential competitors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong knowledge of industry and regulatory trends in communal and district heating networks.
*Experience at a technical level, preferably with a background in heating networks from a contractor or manufacturer of heat network equipment or technology.
*Experience in selling of heat pump technology, HIUs.
*Proven track record of achieving sales growth and meeting targets.
*Excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
*High self-motivation with the ability to nurture and develop customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
*High commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate and agree on contractual terms.
*An analytical mindset with experience in heat network analysis.
