Goods Inwards Stores / Stock Controller
Location: Hythe, Kent
Salary: Competitive hourly rate + quarterly performance bonus
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–13:00)

Our client is a well-established, industry-leading UK sub-contract manufacturer with over 50 years of experience producing high-specification components such as copper and aluminium busbars, switchgear, core packs, and motor laminations. The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Goods Inwards Stores / Stock Controller to join the team as soon as possible. This is a varied role that plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
*Accurately receive sub-contracted orders and general consumables.
*Distribute purchased items within the business promptly.
*Maintain accurate stock levels of work-in-progress and bought-in components.
*Assist production cells with stock record accuracy.
*Support the despatch of finished goods when required.
*Cover raw material stores during holiday periods.
*Carry out occasional delivery driving duties.
What We’re Looking For:
*Full UK driving licence (essential).
*Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Good computer literacy and experience with stock control systems.
*High attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities.
*Methodical and flexible approach to work.
*Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Desirable:
*Previous experience in a similar role.
*Forklift and side loader operation experience (training provided if needed).
