Job Description:
Campus Support Officer
*Location: Norwich
*Job Type: 29 per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri – 10:30am to 6:30pm)
*Salary: £13.10 per hour
*Duration: Temporary until 27th February
As a Campus Support Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for anyone needing assistance on campus. From helping visitors connect to Wi-Fi, to guiding them to the right part of the building, you’ll play a key role in ensuring everyone feels supported and welcomed.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Answer user queries in person or online, adopting a proactive approach to understand and meet individual needs.
*Exercise judgement to support users effectively, making decisions at the point of service.
*Ensure all service points are covered during core hours, adjusting tasks as needed to maintain service quality.
*Handle wider university enquiries, directing users to appropriate online services or referring to relevant services.
*Assist with the management of Library stock and facilities, including Health and Safety monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in a customer-facing role
*Strong problem-solving skills and experience handling customer complaints.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Proactive work ethic with strong organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
