Job Description:
Distribution Manager - Trafford Park, Manchester Overview
The Distribution Manager will oversee all warehouse and distribution operations for the Manchester branch, ensuring efficient processes, service quality and compliance with company standards. The role supports customer relationships, business growth and overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily operations across multiple warehouse and distribution facilities.
* Maintain strong communication with internal teams and customers.
* Ensure service levels, operational accuracy and quality standards are met.
* Manage departmental financial performance, including productivity targets and P&L oversight.
* Support business development through customer engagement, pricing input and operational expertise.
* Develop and coach staff, including recruitment and performance reviews.
* Maintain strong relationships with vendors and provide regular reporting to the Regional Distribution Manager.
Experience & Skills
* Management or supervisory experience in warehousing/distribution.
* Minimum three years’ experience in distribution or inventory control.
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (advantageous).
* Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication and customer relations skills.
* Positive, proactive approach.
