Job Description:
Nursery Practitioner
*Pay: £16.35 per hour
*Location: Nelson
*Job Type: Temporary (January 2026 - Summer 2026 Initially)
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team from January 2025 until the summer although this may be longer/permanent for the right candidate. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual who is qualified to plan alongside teachers, assess, and report on student progress.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement educational activities.
*Assess the development and learning of children, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
*Report on children’s progress and any concerns to relevant parties.
*Engage children in learning and play activities that foster growth and development.
*Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.
*Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must be Level 3 qualified in childcare or higher.
*Experience in planning educational activities and reporting on child development.
*Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices.
