Job Description:
You’re the kind of person who sees a pile of data and feels… oddly excited. While others glaze over, you’re already digging for patterns, building models, and organising information into something that actually makes sense. You’ve crafted more dashboards, trackers, and reports than you’d ever admit publicly. And you’ve got that brilliant mix of analytical thinking and commercial curiosity that leads you to constantly ask, "Is there a smarter way to do this?"
Good news: this national organisation in Leeds City Centre is looking for a Finance Analyst.
What you’ll get up to:
*Embedding yourself in the business and not sitting on the sidelines. You’ll work directly with teams to understand what’s happening operationally and turn raw data into meaningful insight.
*Regular reporting and performance reviews: analysing trends, explaining variances, and figuring out why reality refuses to follow the plan.
*Monitoring budgets and performance metrics to help teams stay aligned (or at least identify when they’ve gone completely rogue).
*KPI creation, reporting, and dashboard building. Acronyms will be abundant. Apologies in advance.
*Forecasting, modelling, and scenario analysis, supporting decisions that reduce risk and maximise opportunity.
*Running performance calculations and insight packs and finding it oddly satisfying work for the analytically inclined.
*Getting involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at making business processes simpler, faster, and less… painful.
Who you’ll be speaking to:
*Pretty much everyone in analytics and finance
*Operational leaders and managers who rely on you to translate complex data into straightforward, actionable points
*The BI team
What you’ll need:
*Experience or qualifications in analytics, finance, business, or a related field
*Strong Excel skills: formulas, pivots, maybe light automation. Curiosity to learn more is just as valuable.
*A sharp eye for detail and a genuine comfort with numbers.
*The ability to communicate clearly with non-technical audiences - no jargon monologues.
*A mindset for improvement. If you prefer doing things "the way they’ve always been done," this role isn’t going to be your happy place.
Apply if this feels like your kind of challenge.
