About the Role
As a Criminal Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, providing expert advice and representation to clients. You will work on cases involving theft, assault, fraud, and other criminal offences.
Key Responsibilities
*Handle all aspects of criminal defence work including police station representation, Magistrates’ and Crown Court cases
*Draft legal documents, witness statements, and briefs for court
*Liaise with clients, police, and courts to gather evidence and manage case progress
*Conduct legal research and maintain accurate case files
*Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm standards
*Provide exceptional client care and support throughout proceedings
Requirements
*Qualified Solicitor (NQ considered) with experience or interest in criminal law
*Strong knowledge of criminal law and court procedures
*Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
*Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
*Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
