About the Role
As a Criminal Paralegal, you will assist solicitors in managing a wide range of criminal defence matters. You will play a key role in preparing cases, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with case preparation for criminal defence matters including theft, assault, and fraud
*Draft legal documents, witness statements, and briefs for court
*Liaise with clients, police, and courts to gather evidence and manage case progress
*Conduct legal research and maintain accurate case files
*Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm standards
*Provide exceptional client care and support throughout proceedings
Requirements
*Previous experience as a Criminal Paralegal or in a similar role
*Strong understanding of criminal law and court procedures
*Excellent organisational and communication skills
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
*Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
