Reed are supporting a small but growing practice near Alton to recruit and accounts semi/Bookkeeper to join their firm.
In this friendly team you will be supporting the team manager and partner in managing their diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Preparation
* Draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

* Assist with management accounts and bookkeeping.

* Complete VAT returns and reconciliations.


* Tax Work
* Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.

* Assist with personal tax returns for directors and individuals.

* Support senior staff with tax planning and advisory projects.


* Audit Assignments
* Participate in statutory audits for small and medium-sized businesses.

* Test controls, verify balances, and prepare audit working papers.

* Work under supervision of senior auditors, ensuring compliance with audit standards.


* Client Interaction
* Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.

* Build strong relationships with a varied client base across industries.

* Represent the practice professionally in meetings and communications.


Skills & Attributes
* Studying towards ACA/ACCA/AAT (part-qualified or finalist).

* Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles.

* Good IT skills, including proficiency in accounting software.
