Credit Controller
Location: Epsom
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
About the Role
Our client, a leading, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of high-value accounts within a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and collect debt across major business accounts
*Take ownership of a defined portfolio, ensuring payments are made to agreed terms.
*Administer credit control procedures in line with company policies.
*Review and prioritise ledger debt daily, ensuring timely resolution.
*Complete departmental processes including workflow, cashflow, and month-end analysis.
*Collect manual Direct Debits and act promptly on any rejected payments.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
*Identify accounts for escalation and propose appropriate actions.
*Collaborate with other departments to resolve queries quickly and accurately.
*Provide cover for colleagues across ledgers during absences.
What We’re Looking For
*Experience: Minimum 2 years in credit control or a similar role.
*Skills: *Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
*Knowledge: In-depth understanding of credit control procedures.
