Head of Design Technology – Secondary School (Melbourn Area)
Start Date: January 2026
Pay: £200 – £250 per day
Contract: Full-time
REED Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the Melbourn, Cambridgeshire area. We are supporting them in the recruitment of an experienced and passionate Head of Design Technology to lead their department from January 2026.
The Role:
*Lead and manage the Design Technology department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
*Inspire and motivate students across KS3 and KS4.
*Drive curriculum development and maintain outstanding results.
*Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching Design Technology.
*Previous leadership experience within a DT department is highly desirable.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*A commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in the classroom.
