The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Fitness Engineer to join our expanding team. Based in and around Bristol, this is a field-based role covering the South West. You’ll carry out inspections, servicing, repairs, and installations of commercial fitness equipment across a diverse client base.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and taking pride in delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
*Routine Servicing & Inspections
Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance of gym and fitness equipment across schools, universities, leisure centres, and commercial facilities. Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards.
*Diagnosis & Repairs
Identify faults and carry out mechanical and basic electrical repairs. Work on a wide range of equipment including treadmills, rowers, resistance machines, and exercise bikes from leading brands such as Technogym, Origin, Matrix, Life Fitness, Pulse, and Concept.
*Equipment Installations
Deliver, assemble, and install fitness equipment at client sites. Ensure all equipment is correctly positioned, tested, levelled, and fully operational before handover.
*Client Communication
Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts. Explain inspection outcomes, repairs carried out, and any further recommendations. Always represent us with a positive and professional approach.
*Tablet-Based Reporting
Use a company-issued tablet to complete digital reports, log parts used, take photos, and submit job outcomes in line with company procedures.
*Vehicle & Stock Management
Keep your company van clean, roadworthy, and fully stocked. Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure commonly used parts and tools are available for efficient service delivery.
*Health & Safety Compliance
Always follow Health & Safety policies, including the use of PPE and on-site risk assessments. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
*Team Collaboration
Work independently while maintaining communication with your team, supervisor, and head office. Attend briefings and training when required, and support colleagues when needed.
*Additional Duties
Assist with occasional warehouse or HQ-based tasks. Be willing to travel further afield or stay away overnight (Monday–Friday) when required.

*Full UK driving licence
*Comfortable using tablets and mobile apps for reporting
*Physically fit – able to lift and handle heavy equipment safely
*A confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused attitude
*Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check (organised by us)
